About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Roseville, I Love Teriyaki Foothills serves up an authentic taste of Japanese comfort cuisine with a focus on succulent teriyaki dishes and freshly prepared sushi rolls. This cozy eatery offers a straightforward, no-frills dining atmosphere—perfect for a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner where the star of the show is unquestionably the food.

The menu is a delightful celebration of classic Japanese flavors, with highlights that invite you to savor every bite. Their Beef Teriyaki stands out with tender marinated BBQ beef, glazed to perfection and accompanied by steamed vegetables, green salad, and fluffy rice—a reassuringly balanced plate that warms you from the inside out. Fans of crispy textures will appreciate the Sesame Chicken, featuring breaded chicken bites delicately coated with a rich, nutty sauce. For those craving a kick, the Spicy Chicken deep-fried popcorn chicken dressed in a zesty sauce provides a thrilling burst of flavor.

Sushi lovers will find themselves spoiled with choices like the creamy California Roll, the smoky and sweet Unagi Roll made with freshwater eel, and the tempting Volcano Roll, an indulgent, fiery creation perfect for adventurous palates. Each sushi roll is carefully served with seasoned ginger, edamame, wasabi, and a refreshing green salad, making every bite a balanced and fresh experience.

Noodles also feature on the menu with enticing options such as the Vegetable Noodle and the Beef Noodle, where pan-fried noodles mingle with tender beef slices and mixed vegetables, served alongside steamed rice for a fulfilling meal. The Bento Boxes offer variety and great value, combining proteins, sushi, and sides into hearty platters perfect for the busy diner.

While the venue itself is modest, with around 25 seats and a small dining counter, the unpretentious setting allows the vibrant flavors and generous portions to take center stage. The staff, described by patrons as friendly and attentive, further enhance the experience with consistent and welcoming service.

Customer reviews echo a genuine appreciation for the quality and authenticity of the food. Antone D. praises the bold flavors, especially of the Sesame Chicken, despite noting the simplicity of the dining environment, while Gisela G affectionately recounts discovering the irresistible noodles through family. Regulars like Abraham Carranza highlight the trustworthy service and hearty servings, making it a staple to revisit. Even when minor disappointments arise, such as Michael Florentino’s note on the tempura batter variation or absent calamari, the overall food quality and flavor consistently impress. Sally Ragusa’s recommendation sums it up well: reasonable prices, excellent food, and inviting staff make this a must-try for lovers of teriyaki and Japanese comfort food.

For those craving authentic, flavorful Japanese dishes without unnecessary fuss, I Love Teriyaki Foothills offers a reliably satisfying experience that keeps locals coming back for more. Whether you’re in the mood for the smoky-sweet allure of grilled teriyaki beef, the crunch of deep-fried tofu, or vibrant sushi rolls, this Roseville gem warmly welcomes you to discover the true heart of Japanese casual dining.

The Real Deal is I Love Teriyaki Foothills which delivers on some good flavor! First off, the atmosphere was pretty boring, simple setup for dining in. Secondly, the service was ok, we walked in and right to the person at the register then had to wait for some food to be served by that person then a phone call then we got to place an order. Now onto the main Event: The FooD. The Sesame Chicken was very good tasted and reminded me of L & L BBQ Chicken Katsu 8/10. Another dish tried was the Tempura Combo with Teriyaki Beef, everything was great on the plate full of flavor and crisp (8.5/10). The Teriyaki Beef is just ok 5.5/10. Lastly, Teriyaki sauce provided was very salty like mostly soy sauce 6/10. Overall, I think I need another try here to give it a full sway one way or another. The

First time I tried their food was when I went over to my sister's house and she happened to be eating noodles. I really liked them that I had to come and get some noodles myself. The food is really great and I definitely recommend this place.

Always great food, we usually take it to go, but we dined in for lunch the other day. Service is always great. The cashier is the same girl every time, and she is always friendly and helpful. They do not skimp on portions and we have never had a bad plate of food.

Dissapointed this branch does not have Calamari. The food is great, though. The tempura? Well, not really your panko crusted real Japanese tempura but more like fish and chips batter. The batter is not thick and not too oily, so you can actually enjoy it. Comes with potato, carrot, asparagus, onion ring, and pot atickers, but no zhrimp tempura. That's likely to be extra. I ordered the B special combo. There is too much food for one person. Can be shared by two people. The beef teriyaki is decent, and the thai chciken is actually just another teriyaki blend with pepper flakes. Lots of rice, for sure! The teriyaki sauce is typically sweet. The salad dressing is excellent. It looks like garlic butter, but it is similar to a miso dreasing. It's a little thick consistency, so it coats well. The soda fountain is wonky, so make sure taste test the flavor you want because when I got home, the Coke Zero is just plain colored water. The dining area is clean and looks new. The electeonic menu monitors are offline. Overall, it is not a bad joint for a fast-food Japanase food. The price is high, so thanks to inflation.

The staff are friendly and pleasant. The prices are reasonable. The food was excellent. It's a small establishment. About 25 chairs, including a small counter for dining . I would definitely recommend this place for a teriyaki style dish

Edit: Updated to 5 stars, I was just hangry. Still love this place and will be back very soon for another Deluxe plate!!! Love the food, one of my favorite places. But last time I used the online ordering system, it sent my food to the wrong location. I called to ask what happened, but what I was told is that all I could do is come pick up my already cold order. It was good but cold. Ill come back because I like the food, but customer service could use a little work.
